Best Canadian Beers, A Local's Guide

By

Drinks of Discovery

I don't drink beer. I, myself am a wine drinker and love german whites. As for beers, I can still give some decent recommendations since my sons are of legal age and report to me about their own experiences and we are Canadian. Maybe they should be writing to you and this is quite a comical situation I just put myself into.

I have heard many reports and favorite choices least here in my neck of the woods, NW Ontario, always comes back to the following ;

-- Ricards Red

-- Ricard's White

-- Alexander Keith

-- Heineken

-- Tsingtao

-- Molson Dry

-- Labatts Blue

-- La Maudite

-- Pilsner

-- Kokanee

Other popular beers are Budweiser, LaBatt Blue and Old English. My sons no longer have taste buds for these beers though they will drink it if there is nothing else. Taste buds are different for everybody and we all develop an *acquired* flavor and favored beer.

I know that college students prefer to cross the border into Canada for their favorite Canadian beers. I can't tell you which brand that is though. I only know my sons get teased by their friends with comments like, "We don't have none of that rich man's beer here," when they go to any *outings*.

I hope this will provide an idea of popular beers. Another method may be to just enter the bar and look around to see who is drinking what. I also highly recommend *Responsible* drinking and never drink and drive. It's alright to have a night out to have fun but safety for yourself and others should always remain a priority.

Haha, my son brought with him a big pack of Alexander Keith from his first trip to Canada. Now they are taking a road trip to Canada again with friends after their summer jobs. I should give him some info. LOL.

Oh my, #5. I thought I'd click on the thingy and read about beer, Canadian beer and again I'm all alone. Well, I like Molson's, but I usually just drink High Life with my best Bud. I prefer a good wine and am prone to a good scotch, now and again. Hic
