Fur Ever Keepsakes

I am an avid book reader and have collections of various authors on diverse subjects. I even give books as gifts to friends and family all in the name of expanding ones knowledge.

I received this one book which tells the story of VIP Fibers. They gather, process and weave items from the fur of loved pets. I was thoroughly tickled with this idea and decided to share this information for those looking at business ideas.

VIP Fibers says ‘that *Canine cashmere* is up to 80% warmer than wool.’ Imagine a fur warmer than wool? Wow! I went and checked out the website, yes, they advertise online as all good businesses practice these days.

The website is full of information of the processes involved with the various fur fibers, care of your fur fibers, keepsake recommendations and lots of other subjects and topics regarding pet furs and aspects of their business.

I once had my mother suggest getting her favorite dog stuffed. I was horrified. But the love between owner and pets is quite the bond. I can relate to the need to keep the memory of a most beloved pet near but I just don’t agree with getting them stuffed.

'Fur farming is the practice of breeding and farming animals for their fur.'- Wikipedia. In this case there is no farming or breeding. The owner just collects the fur from their pet. I am not sure what the animal rights groups will have to say but that’s a subject in itself.

Every spring, I brush my own dogs down and toss their fur off into the winds. I am sure the dogs are amused as I am to watch the birds fly off with the tufts of fur and they do enjoy their brushing. They just look too scruffy when they shed their winter coats.

The information shared by VIP Fibers is informative and includes photos. If you are interested in having a keepsake of your pet then visit their website. Enjoy!

Dog fur is said to be warmer than wool...strange huh, lol. That biz was probably one those scammers. Pet clones have been done tho :)

Huh...not sure I'd want to wear my pets sheddings. But as I keep rats, it'd take awhile anyway. Although I suppose I could always use a beanie for that one finger that always seems colder than the others...

...I once got this thing in the mail that I kept, but now I can't find it. It was a $50 off coupon for a cat cloning procedure. Yes, you read it right. And it was only like 49,050 after the coupon. ;)

As you might imagine, they're not in business anymore.

Great stuff Dame Scribe. My big dog Rick is a Bouvier cross and he sheds hair like crazy. We get bagfuls of it in the vacuum cleaner. He must grow it as fast as he loses iot because he is a big shaggy dog and certainly not bald.I thought at one time that this hair could be woven into something but I didn,t enquire any further. Now I think I will check out that website.Next Christmas maybe I will be giving doghair items as gifts!! Keep up the good work. You have a lot of great hubs.JM.
